What I'll miss...

Well, I'm back in North Carolina, and have been since Saturday around 11:00pm. There are many things I will miss from my experience in Belize. I spent five and a half weeks teaching, living, learning, laughing, and experiencing new things in San Pedro, Belize, as well as in some other parts of the beautiful country.

Things I will miss:

Banana milkshakes

Pineapple Fanta

Belizean breakfasts

Pupusas

The Caribbean Sea

Standard II

Biking everywhere

These beautiful teachers that are now great friends

Now it's time to graduate and find a teaching job. I'll carry this experience and everything I've learned with me forever. Thanks for reading and following my adventures!

To My Friends at Eaton Elementary...

Hello! I miss you all so much! I have had a busy five weeks here in Belize. It's almost time for me to come home! I fly back to Wilmington on Saturday. That is in two days! I have to take three different planes to get back.

I have worked in an elementary school with kids like you guys! We talked about ways that school is the same and different at Isla Bonita Elementary and Eaton Elementary. They eat lunch outside everyday, or they go home for lunch! Is that the same or different than lunch for you at Eaton Elementary?

Then I visited another part of Belize. I had to take a bus and it was very crowded. More and more people kept getting on the bus. There weren't enough seats so people had to stand up in the aisles.

We saw lots of cool things! I saw a jaguar and lots of other neat animals at the zoo, and I saw some really old buildings where people called the Mayans used to live.

My students here had a beach party for my last day! They went swimming in the beautiful Carribbean Sea.

Take care and continue to learn lots! I hope you got my postcard! Miss you all!

Love,

Miss Goodwin
